About me
Hello, my name is Relebohile Rabolinyane but you can just call me Lele. I am a Mosotho girl, hence the name "Sotho Girl Cooks" lol, I was born and raised in Lesotho.
I don't wanna lie and say I've always loved cooking, the love for cooking kind of sneaked up on me honestly speaking. My mom has always been the one that prepared food for the whole family all through my primary school days as well as high-school days, the only thing I ever helped out with was pap, my goodness, I feel like I'm exposing myself, lol.
I finished high-school and it was time for me to go to the university. I went to the University of Freestate (UFS), in South Africa, so far from my family and my mom's cooking.. "how was I going to survive without my my mom's cooking?" Those were the first words that came to my mind.
For the first few weeks, I was living off take-outs, but as time went on I realized that it just wasn't working out. That's when I decided to cook for myself - at first it was a disaster, but what I realized is that I was having fun, I was enjoying being able to create something out of ingredients
I started googling recipes, I followed chefs on social media and I learnt and learnt and learnt, and with everyday, I was becoming better and better. I loved cooking, I still do, and I don't think I will ever stop loving it.
And that's all... For now.
